Numismatics by J. Brown was recently started in late 2006. Jay Brown decided to share his love of coins with his community by opening a coin shop in Falling Moon where he works as a professional tattoo artist. Jay started collecting coins when he was young. He took a break from collecting when he followed his passion for the art of tattooing for the last 21 years. As time went on his love for Numismatics was rekindled, first by collecting silver dollars, then later by other types of coins. With the introduction of the States Quarters program, this passion for coins grew extensivly. He decided to fill a need and share his numismatic knowledge and resources in Moscow, Idaho where there had not been a coin shop in over a decade. Jay has an extensive collection and has set up a large variety of coins for sale. Providing the collector with what he needs is Jay’s mission; whether it is coins, coin supplies, books, appraisals, estates, or grading and encapsulation. Jay is constantly acquiring more and more knowledge in the field of numismatics with continuing study. Jay is a member of the American Numismatic Association and abides by it’s code of ethics and is an avid collector of U.S. Coins from 1870 - present. Jay is available to his clients whether their collections are large or small. Sharing his love of coins has turned his hobby into a business. Numismatics by J.
